Description

Responsibilities Assists the Clinical and Non-clinical Information Manager in identifying requirements for informatics and IT knowledge for the use of electronic data management tools for patient care, quality improvement, utilisation management, clinical resource management, and performance improvement initiatives. Supports the Clinical and Non-clinical Information Manager in conducting structured assessments and recommendations regarding medical informatics. Coordinates plans and supports the development of key indicators, metrics agreed by the Clinical and Non-clinical Information Manager. Supports the assessments of medical information systems to ensure patient data reporting and patient education needs are met. Implements required international or agreed healthcare informatics standards at Health Centres. Reviews the implementation of those standards and communicates this to the Clinical and Non-clinical Information Manager. Supports the implementation of clinical informatics programmes to improve service delivery to patients. Assists with the development of budgets for clinical information system applications.
